How Much Does LeafFilter Cost in Canada?
By True North Eaves · Updated June 17, 2026
Why there is no sticker price
Gutter protection is installed along your existing eavestroughs, and no two homes have the same setup. The size of the system and how complex it is to work with both matter, which is why a flat price posted online would be misleading more often than not. We would rather tell you that honestly than throw out a number that turns out wrong the moment we see your home.
Where LeafFilter sits in the market
When people ask us where LeafFilter lands on price, the honest answer is the middle. It is not the cheapest option you can find, and it is not the most expensive. It is a professional micromesh system with a manufacturer warranty and professional installation, priced in line with that. If you are weighing it against a hardware-store screen you clip on yourself, you are comparing two very different things: one is a do-it-yourself part, the other is a fitted system with a warranty behind it.
What the in-home assessment looks at
Rather than a price quiz over the phone, the free assessment looks at your home in person:
- The eavestrough system itself, including its size and how it runs around the house.
- The complexity of the roofline, such as corners, levels, dormers and valleys.
- Access, meaning how the roof can be reached and worked on safely.
- Condition, since troughs that are failing may need replacement before protection makes sense.
From that, you get a written quote for your specific home, with the warranty terms in writing. No ballparks, no pressure.
Cleaning is part of the install, not an add-on
A common question is whether you pay separately to have the old gutters cleaned first. You do not. When LeafFilter is installed, the existing eavestroughs are cleaned out, realigned and sealed as part of the installation, so the system starts sound rather than capping over a clog. Note that we do not offer standalone gutter cleaning; clearing the troughs is simply part of putting the protection on properly.
How to think about the value
The fair way to weigh gutter protection is against the alternative, which is keeping your eavestroughs clear yourself, season after season, for as long as you own the home, plus the safety risk of being up a ladder to do it. Whether protection is the right call depends on your trees, your roof and how much that recurring chore weighs on you. We walk through that decision in are gutter guards worth it.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a flat price for LeafFilter? No. Where it sits is the middle of the market, not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but the figure for your home depends on the size and complexity of your eavestrough system. A free in-home assessment is the only way to get an accurate, written number.
Why will you not give a ballpark online? Because a ballpark that turns out wrong helps no one. Homes differ enough that an honest number needs a real look at your roofline.
Do I pay extra to have my gutters cleaned first? No. Cleaning, realigning and sealing the existing eavestroughs is part of the LeafFilter installation. We do not sell gutter cleaning on its own.
